Flodesk Checkout Review: Honest Thoughts From a Course Creator

As a course creator, I’ve worked with many — and I mean MANY — payment systems, but by far, my favorite is one that’s a bit newer: Flodesk Checkout.

I’ve been a Flodesk fan for years, so when they launched their newest add-on, a checkout system that seamlessly integrates into your email list and funnels, I was hooked. But, like everything in life, you can’t be fooled by how good something sounds (or, in this case, looks).

Flodesk may be known for its gorgeous email templates, but they’ve recently introduced a new aspect to its platform: Flodesk Checkouts. 

Flodesk Checkout brings that same gorgeous aesthetic and ease of use that you have with your email newsletters and funnels to your sales process. It’s a platform designed to help you sell your offers without needing a tech degree or hiring a whole team.

From creating sales pages to accepting payments, Flodesk Checkout simplifies the process so you can focus on doing what you love — serving high-proximity clients while finding more ways to expand your offer suite, build better business boundaries, and help more people outside your 1:1.

Unlike some payment systems, Flodesk Checkout was designed with entrepreneurs in mind. It’s ideal for business owners who are currently struggling with creating sales pages and checkouts because clunky platforms make it more complicated than it should be.

Is Flodesk Checkout the Solution You’re Looking for?

Maybe — it really depends on what you’re selling! The platform is amazing as delivering one-time digital product downloads and purchases or even selling a strategy call, but it’s not ideal if you’re trying to sell a course.

If you’re trying to sell a product that’s not delivered to your customer and has to be accessed elsewhere, like a course hosted on Podia or Thinkific it’s better to use their native checkout systems. 

Overall, Flodesk Checkout is one of the simplest options for expanding your offer suite to digital products.

The Price Tag: Is it Worth it?

We’ve discussed features — now let’s discuss price. Flodesk Checkout can be added to the FREE version of Flodesk, bringing your investment to $26/month or $288 if billed annually. 

If you’re a paid Flodesk member, you’ll add the cost to your normal Flodesk payment. If you’re paying monthly, it’s $64/month. If you’re paying annually, it’s $708/year.

It’s pretty comparable price-wise to other checkout platforms with similar features.

Final Thoughts: My Honest Opinion on Flodesk Checkout
